Michael Tourond, B.Ed., CFP, CLU is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Regina. He taught high school for six years before entering the financial services field in early 1992. He spent nine successful years as a financial professional in Saskatchewan including becoming a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. In November 2000 Michael moved to Ontario to accept a position as an Advanced Case Consultant with a national life insurance company. Michael worked with financial advisors across Canada consulting on complex planning cases. Upon making key contacts, Michael opened his own practice, Tourond Financial Consulting, to take advantage of the extensive Ontario market. Michael’s practice focuses on providing his clients with detailed financial plans for retirement and estate planning, and planning issues for business owners. Michael sits on the board for Advocis Greater Hamilton chapter as CLU chair and sits on the board of GAMA Canada as Director of Communication. Michael has given financial services seminars nationwide for financial professionals and for their clients, helping both achieve their dreams.
